I realize how the flu can affect conditioning, but the Ole Miss O-line looked totally out of shape. O-Linemen were begging to be swapped even though they were well behind in TOP. That's just terrible.

I guess I'm just suprised to see an SEC team gasping that bad.

They looked winded all game, and when the offensive line is tired and gasping for air, that's not good at all. The Ole Miss players looked cocky to start too. You could tell they had been reading too many press clippings from the preseason.

Norwood is one of the best players I have seen, the guy is an animal.
I have had the pleasure of watching Norwood for 3 years now.If opponents do not account for him on every play, they consistently pay the price whether it's a pass or run.He can play up or down if needed. We gave up about 20-30 lbs minimum p/man across the line last night, but speed will wear a large man down quickly imo, hence the H2O needed by their O-line.Carolina has a new s&c coach, Eric Wolford, that has improved both sides of the line.Still one of the ugliest football games that I have ever seen in my life.I will be disappointed if you guys dont hang 40+ on Ole Sis though.Good Luck to The Tide this year!

The key to physical conditioning is mental conditioning and mental conditioning is not limited to the players alone. Mental conditioning starts at the top whether you are discussing military units, football teams or families.

CNS is disciplined, focused and mentally tough. The players at Bama seem to be adopting the same mental strength their leader displays...as should be expected.

With that said, I wonder if the Rebels are simply doing the same. Nutt has never come across as a very disciplined or mentally tough. If he is not, his players have little chance at great physical conditioning as they don't have the proper mental foundation on which to build.

He's a terrific player. I know UGAG wishes they would have gotten him.
