Not really. They put one loss OSU, who won their conference championship 59-0, at 4 over…..one loss Baylor and one loss TCU.

Both had infinitely stronger SOS than Ohio State that year. They did it for TV ratings and used the fact that the Big XII tried to name both champions because of where TCU was ranked.

Pate is right. The day a 3 loss SEC championship game loser doesn't make it it is the day the SECCG should be eliminated.

I think it is when the SEC should say screw the rest of you and have an SEC final four for the conference championship and screw the joke of a national playoff.

The committee gets worse and worse every season. When it started they went out of their way to way to not rock the boat, get people on board with the system. Now they are blatantly just winging it and there is zero consistency.

It's almost as bad as instant replay and targeting inconsistencies. Hahaha! Roll Tide!

Yep, Bama is in a tough spot.
I don't even like some of the other ranked teams (Miami for example), but some of these teams are getting bad treatment, not just Bama. I really only care about Bama though. I think they should either get rid of the committee or re-do the entire committee.

This playoff crap was sold as making sure the best teams play each other. After they got what they wanted, all of a sudden the committee needed to protect the conference championship games by including the losers of those games. I knew when they said a committee would be in charge every year is going to be moving goalpost. If it was truly about matching the best teams, #1-12 in the Coaches poll is all you need to pull from. Sports media could still have their selection show having the coaches of the top twelve teams coin toss for six coaches to draw the team they will play out of a hat. I’ve made my mind up this year if they put a sub #20 team into the playoffs over teams ranked 13-20 I’m not watching any playoff games unless Bama is in them. Crashing the tv ratings is going to be only chance of ending this kind of bs.

I honestly hope this happens. I also hope to see the conference championship games end up being 2&3 stringers like the NFL does late season to rest their starters and hopefully that leads to lower tv ratings and lots of unsold tickets.
