Penn State: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

I want give a big ol South Alabama high five to the Bamanation, the round of applause that Coaches Bowden and Paterno got made me very proud to be a Crimson Tide fan and I know really would have made Coach Bryant proud and I know that Coach Saban was of how we treat those who are legends of the game.

I love the new addition and it was quite evident from where I sit in U3-C that the stadium is definitely louder and I know the sound level on the bottom floor of Bryant-Denny had to be BAD for the opponents can't wait to get Florida in the same position considering how loud it was on Urban's first trip to Tuscaloosa.

I wonder how many of us are actually drunk during the game? I now ride a bus out of Mobile and for the past two weekends have seen folks that I am glad who are not on the highways driving. How can you attend an event such as the one held on Saturday and be in such a stuper knowing you will have missed some great plays and personal performances by the players. Case in point there was an individual who purchased a ticket for $250.00 plus $30.00 for bus fare and was thrown out before half time. No skin off my nose,but wouldn't it have been more enjoyable to watch the whole event?

I met several PSU fans and I have to say they are some really class folks and I am looking forward to going to Happy Valley next year.

We seem to be getting nicked up in games hope no really bad injuries occur
We gave up a lot of yards between the 20s

Good:
Victory!
Trent Richardson is a freak of nature
Met a few PSU fans and each of them commented on how well they were being treated and how much fun they were having, even though they expected to lose.

Bad:
Our defense needs work. We got nickel & dimed up and down the field far too much last night.

Ugly:
With that south endzone upper deck, very little air circulates in the stadium now. It was H-O-T and S-T-I-L-L. When the occasional breeze did come through it was really diminished compared to before the enclosure. I'm going to have to pack a hand-held fan from now on.

Good: The number of playmakers we have seems to grow weekly. (i.e. This week, Norwood and Dial emerged.)

Bad: Number of penalties (6 I think), although 3 were from Warmack....still too many. But, it is early.

Ugly: The Virginia Tech Hokies. OK, not Bama related, but nothing was uglier, Saturday.
