We had a fairly mean hail storm come through here a couple months back.

There are a lot of metal roofs and the aluminum ones got dings in them from the storm and many have been getting replaced over the past month or so.

The story I got had something to do with the insurance companies requiring this to be done.

Anyhoo.....the neighbor behind me is having hers done this week. They finished the tear off and dry in (they had to apply new underlayment) yesterday and today started installing the new panels.

Here's where it gets interesting.

The company doing the job has a machine that creates the roof panels in whatever size and style that is needed right there on site.

They are a local company with a very good rep. A few pics.....

Hunger Stone : The recent droughts in Europe once again made visible the "Hunger Stones" in some Czech and German rivers. These stones were used to mark desperately low river levels that would forecast famines.
This one, in the Elbe river, is from 1616 and says: "If you see me, cry"
