Pick the score: Chattanooga vs. Alabama

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Whatever beats whatever, whatever to whatever. Let's play nine SEC games. To play this team, at this point of the season, is a joke. Bama versus Chattanooga, FSU versus Idaho, give me a break. The only thing that can be accomplished by either contender is to get a key player hurt before the games that really count.

Or to iron out the mysteaks from the previous game and get valuable time to the back ups.

I'd be happy if we never played another FCS team.

Since Auburn likes to have a bye week before us, I don't have a problem with a controlled scrimmage. I wouldn't mind seeing Sims come out and run the first team offense. Trot him out in mid-series and see how the offense responds to the change.

We'll see B. Sims in the second half with the first unit for a few downs and then guys like G. Hill (he's already my favorite OL player...that guy is going to be a terror) and C. Lindsay are going to step in and show what they are capable of.

How long ago was this?
It was this past Saturday.
The coach is now saying he might not play his startingQB or the back up which is the startingWR. He said he might sit a lot of starters and get ready for the playoffs.

Wow! If that's the case, I'd be surprised if we don't see a shutout.

We did have a common opponent... Georgia State. UTC won that game 42-14, Bama won 45-3. UTC had 401 rushing yds on 60 carries, we had 181 yds on 30 carries. UTC passing 11-15-0 for 108 2 tds, Bama 29-34-0 5 tds for 296 yds. Defensively UTC held GaSt to 30 rushing yds but gave up 273 passing. Bama gave up 15 rushing and 160 passing yds.

I know this don't tell the whole story... but my point is Coach Saban will be pointing this out to the team and will NOT take them lightly. I think this game will be just what we need to get ready for the cow college. I expect the score to be somewhere in the 38-7 range, but maybe being a little closer at the half than some may think. Hope I am wrong but ya never know.

ROLL TIDE!

Except that it would mean he gets less work running the Alabama packages. It appears he can use all the time available simulating an Alabama QB. ;)
I dunno, remember CNS's philosophy - you mold your players to play defense the way you want, you mold the offense to play to players' strengths. We might see an entirely different offense with BS under center - he's deadly running the zone read...
