If I remember correctly, Penn State beat Ohio State and won the conference championship and still didn't get in. If the committee were consistent that means Bama gets in over Auburn.
unfortunately we lost at the wrong time.

After all, Auburn blew a 23-7 lead to LSU, a team we beatIf you take today we look terrible BUT.... we didn’t look as bad as any other team in the games they lost, either save perhaps Auburn.
Undue emphasis on today and we are done. If the threshold is one of the four best I think we are in.
PSU played 3 good teams and lost to two of them while OSU beat 4 good teams and only lost to 1. So it wasn't that simple. But I wouldn't complain if Alabama went in ahead of OSU this year.If I remember correctly, Penn State beat Ohio State and won the conference championship and still didn't get in. They will not put two SEC teams in the playoff.
Are you sure? Let's say that Auburn beats Georgia (again) in the SECCG. That leaves Auburn and Georgia with two losses each, while we're sitting here at 11-1. So how can either of them go ahead of us? In fact, how can Auburn be put ahead of us anyway, since they already have two losses and we have only one?
Auburn would be in based off beating two #1 teams in 3 weeks, plus if Georgia jumps in the top 5 and loses again, that will be 3 top-5 wins, more than anyone else in the countryAre you sure? It actually is a valid argument, just one that the committee isn't likely to make. I'm old school, losses used to matter more. Now, we're looking at two loss teams and just casually discussing them jumping one loss teams. Power 5 teams mind you! Look, Auburn beat Alabama. Ok, Alabama beat LSU, who beat Auburn. But, Auburn also lost to Clemson. Does that not count? That's the issue, that somehow a loss is getting erased like it didn't really happen. If the Clemson loss gets erased, because they're one of the top teams, why can't the Auburn loss get erased to? In which case is Alabama an undefeated team and Auburn a one loss team? It's just hard to follow the logic that says 2 loss Auburn belongs ahead of one loss Alabama. You can't be serious.
Hell no!
That's why I wouldn't complain. For me, I believe that 2 loss P5 teams should be ranked behind 1 loss P5 teams even if they have a head to head victory. Every game still matters to me.Well thanks... of course OSU lost by 31 to an unranked team and by 15 at home.
OU might score 28 points on Alabama, but Alabama would score 50 on them.We have a decent shot. I wouldn't bet on it but we only need a break or 2. To be honest I have no interest in playing Auburn again this year or OU. OU's D is pretty trash but their O would give us a ton of issues.
Idk 28 seems really low. They have a good running game too. I think it could turn into a Texas A&M style game. I think we could win but it'd be my least favorite type of win.OU might score 28 points on Alabama, but Alabama would score 50 on them.
