If I’m not mistaken if he doesn’t get a job within 60 days he is due the buyout in full....

I saw a YouTube video this week by TJ LSUdad. A segment of it was to respond to the racial slurs tweeted against Jalen.

Hard to believe anyone who loves sports is racist in this day and age. I really hope this is not the case in Knoxville. If it is a racist administration and potential coaches know that, no one is going to want that job.

I've seen (and offered) plenty of criticism to Jalen's play on the field. But man it's a crying shame someone would bring race into any of this! We are so long removed from the Walter Lewis era!

There are clearly racists still out there in every place that humans dwell, but I don't believe that race has anything to do with this. I won't believe something that inflammatory unless/until evidence is presented.

Doubtful - according to what I've read there's no offset by new income - IOW, A&M is on the hook for 100% of the buyout, regardless as to whether he works or not...

I see. I can't speak for him, but if it were me, I would definitely swim in my millions for a year as opposed to stepping into a dumpster fire at UT.

Only problem with Sumlin is he is due $10M in 60 days. I would wait on that, even if it meant sitting next year out, then throw my hat in the ring next year.

Yep. I never could stand him and still can't. He trashes Alabama at every possible opportunity, or at least he did 10 years ago when I still listened.

I have to admit, though, that he's has been right at times on certain "scoops," like Frannie to aTm and Fulmer being fired.

Have you checked out Vol Nation lately? There are numerous threads calling for their "fans" to bombard him on Twitter or wherever they can. They didn't want him and made sure he knew it. So, he probably decided to not walk into such a hostile bunch. I can't say that I blame him.

I really think Fulmer makes the most sense for UThug now. They clearly can't get anyone with any sort of proven record, and Phil already knows the program, the boosters, and the SEC landscape to some past degree. Would he win ? Nah, but who could they get now that will win ?
