I wonder how many of those created jobs were simply people going back to work after being forced home during the pandemic.

IOW, like any other political ad, it's almost certainly misleading. Happy be be proved wrong, but not holding my breath.

The caveat is that this is non-farm jobs. Just roughing numbers in my head, it's pretty close. You can argue, though, that the Dem presidents didn't really create all those jobs. HW Bush - recession, W Bush - financial crisis, Trump - covid. But then you have to accept the job increases during Biden's term is much more than losses during Trump. Non farm employment reported for August 2023 is 156,419,000.

I was furloughed during covid. I was brought back when worked picked up again. The job I was brought back to work on was an existing job that restarted after things opened up. Did biden create that job? How many more jobs that got paused due to covid and brought back after things opened up are included? I had plenty of work from 2001-2007 and I had plenty of work prior to covid, but the little chart someone printed out makes it seem like there weren't any jobs. Plus, in my industry, there are lay-offs happening right now. The fact that we are really busy is not the norm. I want to see the list of "jobs created" by biden and his admin.
