It's hard not to see it as a violation of freedom of (from) religion. There will be many "me too" suits by other nonprofits...First I heard of this, what a ridiculous rule change!
U.S. — In a shocking exposé that threatened to topple the presidential administration, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Donald Trump once wrote "BOOBS" on a calculator and showed it to Jeffrey Epstein.
In the scandalous report, the WSJ details a date back in 2003 in which Trump bumped into the infamous Epstein and asked to show him "a little trick" he learned back in school. What allegedly took place thereafter sent shockwaves through the nation's capital.
Trump immediately and adamantly denied the authenticity of the report. "Absolutely FALSE!" he said in a post on Truth Social. "The Wall Street Journal, which is a filthy rag of a publication, has published an obviously untrue report about me showing Epstein a calculator that said ‘BOOBS' on it. This is totally FAKE. This is not what I do. I have never even used a calculator. I do all of my math in my head. That's how powerful my brain is. I told them not to run this story, but they did it anyway. Now, they'll face the consequences. FAKE NEWS!"
Actually, I can't believe this isn't more of an issue. That level of fluid retention is flat out deadly.
When I was 42, my ankles looked like this. I had no idea why and I wasn’t in bad shape. Hell, I was still lifting 6 days a week. The CHF finally caught up to me and I was getting winded just putting on a tie every morning. Long story short, I started taking Lasix when I FINALLY went to a doctor and I lost 28 pounds in 3 weeks. It really is a modern-day miracle I’m alive.Actually, I can't believe this isn't more of an issue. That level of fluid retention is flat out deadly.
Good for you! And yeah, CHF was the first thing that I thought after seeing Trump's ankles. When I was 42, my ankles looked like this. I had no idea why and I wasn’t in bad shape. After I had common femoral grafts on both legs, followed by E. coli infections in both, I had to spend three months tethered to a negative pressure wound pump. I had several months of PT, because I had developed lymphedema and my legs were double normal size. I also had to have daily antibiotics through a port. I finally went to Mayo. I did learn new techniques there, which help. However, they declined the bypass surgery I wanted, mostly on my age, 80 at the time. Now, I have moderate swelling in my left, which needs hip replacement, and none in my right. I do wear compression stockings every day...When I was 42, my ankles looked like this. For a minute there, I thought this was what I was headed for. Thankfully, my new cardiologist (at the time) jumped all over it. I've stuck with him ever since. By all rights, I shouldn't be here, but I am. I'm 50 now and after a small setback this past September, I'm back on track. The other day, I did something I swore I would never do: I bought an Apple Watch. Not only can this thing accurately tell me my BPM, it can actually detect heart rhythm. I call that $400 worth. After I had common femoral grafts on both legs, followed by E. coli infections in both, I had to spend three months tethered to a negative pressure wound pump. Well, I appreciate that. I've found out that I have hundreds, maybe thousands praying for me. In a recent column, Sean Dietrich pulled out the stats which show that patients who have people praying for them do better, whether they know it or not. In the last six months, I've had a spiritual reawakening myself. For a minute there, I thought this was what I was headed for. Thankfully, my new cardiologist (at the time) jumped all over it. Anyway, stay on top of things because if I haven't learned anything else, I've learned this: things can go south VERY quickly. The difference between living and dying can be literal seconds. I'm still pretty new to praying, but I'll definitely keep you in mine.
My daughter's fiance has some form of epilepsy. He got an Apple watch because there are apps that can detect seizures and call emergency services automatically. The other day, I did something I swore I would never do: I bought an Apple Watch.
