Political Meme - Cartoon Thread...

Re: Political Meme - Cartoon Thread

So, in other words, dirt is more important than people.

Not dirt ,but the protection of both our smallest minority, the individual.
All our rights are given to the individual and not to the mob, nor the eliteist.
That individual that thinks he is better, smarter, and a prettier snow flake than all the others have no God or government given right to dictate to those of us that do not.

All of our founding documents and arguments are well laid out, thought out and argued over for years with the written history of mankind to use as a paradigm for forming a new government.
EVERYTHING in the US Constitution was put there for the protection of all individuals first.

Individuals live in cities too.

Good to see you quoting Mencken as a prophet.
You'll probably agree with Mencken on this then.
H. L. Mencken said:
But let us not forget that it [The Gettysburg speech] is oratory, not logic; beauty, not sense. Think of the argument in it! Put it into the cold words of everyday! The doctrine is simply this: that the Union soldiers who died at Gettysburg sacrificed their lives to the cause of self-determination — “that government of the people, by the people, for the people,” should not perish from the earth. It is difficult to imagine anything more untrue. The Union soldiers in that battle actually fought against self-determination; it was the Confederates who fought for the right of their people to govern themselves.

So, "self-determination" is racist?

What a scary world you live in.

Excuse my ignorance. Did that "self-determination" include slaves and poor white serfs or was it only for those who lived in columned manor houses and sipped mint juleps?
