Re: Political Meme - Cartoon Thread

Actually one of the reasons the ladies are getting so mad (I know because the wife gets angry about it) is that there are states and bills/laws (like the signing by Trump above) that are trying to impact/ban access to birth control - Alabama had one last year that would have impacted access to birth control but didn't make it through.

Birth control was being made illegal? Or is "access" a euphemism for spending other people's money on someone else's personal business?

Since I've been watching Lemony Snicket I'll answer as such.

Access, a word which here means obtain, examine, or retrieve. In this case it does not mean who would be paying for it, as even those paying for it themselves would likely not be able to access it even though it would be their personal business to do so.

Now back to the memes/cartoons. As stated previously.

I thought you might have been referring to funding for PP. Many on the left believe that if it isn't subsidized or provided free by government (by definition using other people's money) then "access" is being limited.

they believe it because it is true. There are many, many very poor women that will walk into a PP office and get pills or condoms that will no longer have access to that office or those "free" birth control solutions. I get that you don't want to pay for them but you do realize that you will pay for the results of not having them right? Me I'd rather the government hand them out like lollipops at the bank.

No, you don't understand. Handing out contraceptives endorses sex, ergo withholding them will stop sex. Also, these women need to learn personal responsibility. Forcing them to have a child they cannot afford to raise and continuing the cycle of poverty into the next generation should certainly teach them a lesson.

starting to understand why crimsonaudio is bowing out of political discussions. You people cannot even keep a political cartoon thread on topic.
