Prayers for my daughter-in-law

Thank y'all - I will keep you informed.

A word about her. I really lucked up when I got her for my daughter-in-law. She and my son were married for 31 years June 10, 2009. In all those years there has never been a cross/harsh word between us. She is the most calm person I've ever known. I've never seen her "lose her cool", have a temper tantrum, or fuss at anyone. No doubt she has at times gotten peeved with some people (me included perhaps), but she's the most reasonable person you could imagine. She is always quiet spoken and easy to get along with.

I hope she comes through her surgery tomorrow with flying colors.

Thank all of you for your prayers.

So sorry for your news. God was taken my surprise when this news came He has walked the path before you to provide you grace and strength each step of the way. Trust His heart when you do not see His hand. Prayers for healing.

Thank you for your prayers. I think they helped but please don't stop.

Alice had major surgery December 15, 2009. She has ovarian cancer and I've been very worried about her. She was in the hospital for two weeks and came home towards the end of December. A week later my son took her to her doctor for a checkup. The doctor set up 6 chemo treatments for her, and she started her first one the next day - January 6, 2010. The first one made her a little nauseated but not too much. They did tell her that the next one COULD be worse. The next one is this coming Wednesday at 8:00 A.M.

But there is some good news. I'm not familiar with cancer and numbers, etc. but I talked to Alice today. What it is that I'm trying to say is this:

The number you aim for is 35 (whatever that means) or lower. This week when she went to her doctor for a checkup, she said he came in the examining room BEAMING. Her number is:

DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........TWENTY THREE. It could go lower. If it continues to be this good after her 6 treatments they will consider it in remission. Of course she would continue to be checked and if the number began to go up, then more chemo.

So, again, thank you for your prayers.

Nancye

I just returned from Face Book where my children are members. I have a hard time saying something back to people that someone has told me.

Anyway, this is what Alice had posted in Face Book today:

Received great news yesterday!! The CA 125 blood test is used as the cancer marker for ovarian cancer. Before surgery, mine was 600. The goal was to get it below average (35) by my 3rd chemo treatment. After my 1st treatment, it had already dropped to 23! I can't quit singing, dancing and praising God. I am so th...ankful--my heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude. Thanks for supporting me on this journey.See More
