I saw a graphic that out of 127 teams Alabama is 126th in returning firepower. #1 seems a little high to me.
What is "firepower?" Is it starters on offense, which I assume?

Could be misleading if so because we are reloading with super talented 5 stars who have been waiting to play behind guys who are now in the NFL.

No, not starters but rather the returning percentage of rushing, receiving and passing. IOW, offensive production. I think we return 3 starters on offense.

Looks like some of the other Big Boys are in the same boat.

Not that it really matters, but did anyone else notice that there were 63 votes cast for #1, though the article states there are 62 voters?
Sometimes a voter puts TWO teams on top and gives them 1/2 of a vote.

In 1977, one voter split his vote three ways - Notre Dame, Alabama, Arkansas.

The only thing that makes this fishy is that usually it counts as "half a vote," so maybe someone simply made a typo.

From some guy on Twitt:

Since the start of the 2011 season, there have been 165 AP Polls.

Alabama has been lower than 7th for 5 weeks, and outside the top 5 for a total of 11 weeks.

In that span, Alabama has been No. 1 in 86 of them.

But remember - Saban is leaving after 3 years......

I’d love to know what our record is when sitting below 5. I bet it’s scary high %
