I take back the wish I had Saturday afternoon. The wish I was hoping for was a giant sinkhole to open and swallow the Dome and all that was in it.

I surely understand Bama fans having immense pride in their impressive 20th century record. It will likely never be matched in the era of scholarship parity.

But we have an excellent 21st century record going on at LSU in which we take great pride. In the last seven years LSU has averaged over 10 wins a season and has gone to four SECCG games with three SEC titles and earned two BCS national championship game appearances with one crystal football in the case and a shot at another.

I was there. Had a great time. All decked out in purple, gold, and Mardi Gras beads. My club level seats just happened to be in the midst of bunches of the orange-clad minions. Loved it when LSU finally took the lead and then finished with the win. Ive got an incredible streak going when I attend UT v anyone but Bama (4-0) and it remained in tact yesterday!

I was disappointed, though, that it seemed that so many of the LSU folks had sold their tix after their loss to R-kansas. The crowd was terribly tilted in favor of the Vols--at least 65/35 and maybe even 70/30. Way too much roadworker orange for my taste.

Thanks, man. Partying with LSU fans is lots of fun. I was at the SECCG when y'all beat UT both times and there when y'all beat UGA. I would love nothing more than for LSU to have a home game sometime when Bama is open. Then I would be able to go to Tiger Stadium and pull for you guys. I've been to Tiger stadium at least 10 times, but always pulling for Bama. Would love to go there just once and be able to pull for the home team. Guess for now, the SECCG experiences will have to suffice.
