RTR. This kid is another example of our staff being ahead of most teams in evaluating talent. CNS and CJM told him his mechanics were almost "flawless" after his camp performance. He has a heck of an arm. Great pick up.

Alec Morris has switched his commitment from Wake Forest to the University of Alabama.

Well all the talk that Alec Morris was Bama's top QB prospect after Winston committed to FSU turned out to be very accurate. One thing we didn't know is that Morris already had a Bama offer before Winston made his announcement. Now the question will be is Bama going to go after a second QB and if so who will it be?

I like the Ark kid. Went toe-to-toe with JW and came out with a draw at The Elite 11.

Morris had verbally committed two weeks ago to Wake Forest, the first team to offer him a scholarship, but changed that commitment to Alabama on Friday.

"Alabama offered after Alec committed to Wake Forest," said Tom Westerberg, Allen head football coach. "He was out of town last week, got back and decided to make the switch today."

This move will surprise some, but others saw the writing on the wall.

"I was in the car with (senior) Quinten Mobley and we came to a stop light and Alec and his dad pulled up next to us and Alec had an Alabama hat on," said Oliver Pierce, Allen junior wide receiver. "He said he got an offer from them, but I wasn't sure if he was joking or serious."

Morris made it known Friday he was serious by switching from Wake Forest to Alabama.

Do we still pursue Greyson Lambert, or is that effort pretty much tabled for right now?

BTW, you have to love the lightning quickness this kid took to jump at an opportunity to play here. Evidently he didn't even hesitate when he got the call. Just shows where we are as a program right now....

Do we still pursue Greyson Lambert now, and realistically how good are our chances with him?

It seems that Lambert has not had a committable offer for along while now. He is being patient and waiting to make a decision. The reports are that he really impressed the staff on his most recent visit to Bama. I think if Bama wants him they should be able to sign him.

I don't know if it is true or not but there is talk that Bama may go after Louisville commit Will Gardner as a top priority if they are intent on signing two QBs in this class.

It sucked not getting Winston but I am thrilled that Bama landed a QB who sports priority is focused on football. I am also glad we got a QB who will most likely step on campus. Good day with Black and Morris.

Saban is a Beast. The kid looks good and can come and have probably 3 years to learn and develop. Roll Bama!

The dude has better touch on the ball than Winston had. Obviously he's not the runner/scrambler that Winston is, but I think in the end we make out of this better than FSU. His touch looks as good if not better than PS and AJ from the video. Obviously there are other factors that go into a quarterback but that Morris was putting in the absolute perfect window every play I saw.
