I am a season ticket holder but have some family members that would like to travel to the Bama Florida game. I have never bought tickets off the street around BDS so I was wondering, would it be better to buy tickets off EBAY or at the game?

I've always had better luck at the game, depending on the game. SEC games, especially marquee games, are always hard to get and expensive to boot. Your best bet (my opinion only) would be to trade your tickets to a scalper for enough for you all to sit together, You'll end up with worse seats, but you'll be together and will get away cheaper that way.

UAfan, I just need two tickets. Not looking to get any together. Just two to get them in the stadium. Actually I dont even care if they are uppers, lowers, endzone, etc. On ebay, most tickets are going for at least 150 apiece. Can i expect to pay more, less, same around the quad and BDS?

It should be fairly easy to get 2 tickets...

for much less that $150.00 a piece. My experience is that the price drops closer and closer to ticket price the nearer it gets to kickoff. You still want to get there early though. You can sometimes find a non scalper type just trying to get rid of a couple of tickets.

You can also check local classifieds in Alabame newspapers. They will often sell them at face value.

So does that mean I should just go ahead and buy them off ebay?
i wouldn't buy them off ebay, unless you see a real good price...with the exception of the years i went to school there..i have ALWAYS bought them outside the stadium...and i don't think i have ever paid more than $150 for ANY game..maybe maybe Oklahoma might of been a little more, but i can't remember the exact amount. Ebay prices seem to go way high to me. normal games (like not TN, FL, or Auburn) usually can be easily found for under $100 around the stadium.

I have bought and sold tickets many times around BDS right in front of cops and never had a problem. The government just wants a cut of your profit if you are selling many tickets. Those are the guys with the licenses around their necks. But just a few tickets and no one cares.

and scalpers are different. if you have a couple of tickets you can sell them. if you want to register and get a business license and sell tickets as your job, you have to go thru all the hoopla.
