Question for Administrators

I am beginning to receive an e mail on my personal computer for every post I make and every reply made to my posts. I am even getting e mails when someone is using my name in a post! All the post has to include is 'ed' and I get an e mail for it detailing the post that was made by another poster. I did appreciate knowing that mamcalled had asked me a question in his post that I got to reply to by noticing the e mail. What could be causing this? Has anyone else reported this problem? Please help! It took 30 minutes to clear all of the incoming mail. Thanks

Hit the user CP tag at the top.

After opening the User CP you will see a list under Control Panel. Click on Edit Options and set the options you want.

UserCP it is in the far left of one of the red lines at the top. Don't worry, you cannot disable yourself in any way we can't bail you out.

Thanks bayou. I found user cp and edit options but wondered what to click on there. Do I click on disable messages from other members or one of the other options. You guys are fast to respond!

Look here:

Start with "Edit Options." Under "messaging and notification," look under "Default Thread Subscription Mode." You have this block checked: "Instant email notification." Drop the menu down and select "no email notification."
