I've heard that he is a soft LSU commit. Did he really like LSU better, or did we not pursue him hard? I love his size as a running back, even though he is listed as a FB. If we wanted a power runner, i figured this guy would work. Is he not good enough to play RB? If so, i can see why we didnt pursue him, cuz we don't use the FB much in our offense. Someone plz fill me in on him.

A big part of it has to do with his work ethic on and off the field. On the field he does not practice hard because he has "star-syndrome" and doesn't think he has to. He is also doing terribly in the classroom. Heard all this from one of his teammates at Rville.

thanx for the info. i hate it when a recruit gets a big head. and saban hates a bad work ethic.

There doesn't seem to be room for a FB in this class. Plus, we're set at the position, that not really used that much in our offense. Baron Huber and Jeramie Griffin will do great for us.

I have family in Russellville and based on what I am told Abernathy's probability of qualifying academically is slim to none.
