Question on RB Marcus Sims

I have read opinions where it would be hard to get him away from Fla St. ...There are rumblings that his older brother , Ernie Sims - LB from Fla St. may opt to the NFL draft and leave school...would this help our chances any in getting him to commit ? thanks & of course, RTR !

I don't think his older brother staying or leaving will affect his decision. It will still be FSU.

I read on one of their boards today where a couple of their posters think he will go elsewhere because he wants to play RB and FSU wants him at MLB. I hope if he does go elsewhere that it is Bama.

I've read it will not be a surprise if he does not go to FSU because they are recruiting him as a LB and he really wants to play RB.

I would love to have him as LB. This is a lot of assuming, but if KD stays, Ford qualifies, JJ stays at RB, I really don't think we would need Sims as a RB until much later on in his career.

This is not taking into consideration that we have Coffee, Upchurch and Sharieff as RBs as well.

I've read that both of Sims parents attended FSU as well as his brother and sister. I would think he would be a shoe in to go to FSU considering all of the family ties.

If I am not mistaken, I believe we are the only school recruiting him at RB.

According to Sims in an interview I read last month he says that Southern Cal and Bama are the only two recruiting him as a RB. His top five are Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Miami and Southern Cal. He said they are all even with no particular favorite. I think all of them would prefer him at LB.

Yeah, I read on Scout.com that he said he would probably be a better LB in college but that he would enjoy playing RB more.

I respect your opinion............but still hope he comes to Bama b/c his brother looked really quick at LB vs PS. However,be carefull someone takes offense to your post and labels you soooo negative! :wink:
