Question re: Ronnie Osborne

Can anyone tell me why we have been flirting with J. Walker when Osborne is rated by both Rivals.com and Tom Lemming (ESPN) as a much better back?

Personally, I think we need to end our efforts to recruit another RB this season with such prospects as J. Williams (DT) and Ben Obomanu (WR) still undecided. But if the coaches insist, then why aren't we interested in Osborne?

This is probably a good question for Tampa Jim but I would take a wild guess that Osborne has commited somewhere else. I bet he got tired of the waiting for an offer (a firm one)from the Tide coaches. Looking back on it, it's a shame but I bet that's what happened.

I can't answer the question but I can tell you that you are going to love Mr. Darby!
He has up-to-date skills with an old time tough guy attitude.

Off the top of my head, I don't think Osborne has committed yet. Last I heard, he was kicking around among ND, OkState, and maybe Kansas.

And 72Tide, I am with you. Would take Darby everyday over Osborne... or Allen, or Riggs, or Wynn, for that matter. My feeling is that KD will be a very special player.
