Seems I recall two kids by the name of Ricky Williams and Ced Benson playing for Texas. It's not like they have never ran the football in Austin. My guess is that they will adapt their offense somewhat instead of just wasting this kid's talent.Yelp seems to be true, I still believe that this story is no where near over, I seen an interview with CMB today on jim bum is burning, and he was talkin about how they were going to change the offense completely to what UT fans are familiar with. Going to the power running attack because of inexperience at QB and skill pos. This lets you what type of back that MB is, I just will believe it, when i see UT running this offense.. It is a long way to NSD and I trust our staff more than anything so I believe that we are still going to get either MB or IC..
Cibolo Steele’s Malcolm Brown, the No. 1-rated player in the state on this year’s Fabulous 55 and one of the top-rated running back prospects in the country, committed to the Longhorns on Wednesday night.
He’s the big prize in what already is a big 2011 recruiting class for Texas.
Brown, 6-1 and 220 pounds, is Texas’ highest-profile running back recruit since Cedric Benson. He rushed for nearly 2,200 yards and 33 touchdowns last year.
“I was very comfortable up in Austin,” Brown told the San Antonio Express-News. “The coaches were real down-to-earth, and I know it’s the right fit.
He chose the Longhorns over Alabama.
?Ely High?According to sources close to the Steele football program Texas Longhorn head coach Mack Brown has once again nailed down the top prospect in the state of Texas by securing a verbal commitment from 5-star running back Malcolm Brown.
The big news of the day in the recruiting world was supposed to be the commitment of Ely High (Fla.) super athlete James Wilder, who is rated as the 6th best prospect in the country by Scout.com.
Wilder did in fact select Florida State over offers from Georgia and Florida, but the late afternoon commitment news was quickly trumped on the national scene by the profoundly quiet super star Malcolm Brown, a 6-foot-0, 220-pound running back from Cibolo Steele High (Texas), who chose the Longhorns with little publicity or fanfare over Alabama and other elite level offers.
I think it is over for Brown and Bama. If he had any reservations he would have waited to see the UT offense before deciding.Do you guys think this one's over or do you think there's a chance he is unhappy with UT's offense this season and compares it to what Trent and Mark do, thus leading to him switching?
the best part is if it ruined Wilder's circus he put on.
Well hope he likes pass blocking...
This will seem like sour grapes but I don't care.. I like Crowell better..
