EXACTLY. Some of you guys need to read S-L-O-W-L-Y. And yes, it IS true. Coach Bryant could sign literally about 100 guys per signing class in the late 1950s and 1960s.

So could every other coach. Not just Bryant. That was the point.

The saying went that you signed the QB from small schools because they were most likely the best athlete on the team, Freshmen couldn't play back then and in that first year you culled the bad.

Ray Perkins came to Bama in 1964. I think that's the year he was talking about signing so many people.

Actually Perkins entered Alabama in the 1962 class. In that era freshman were not eligible to play varsity football. He missed the 1963 season because of a head injury and began his varsity playing career in 1964 essentially as a redshirt sophomore. At that point he was 22 years old having dropped out of high school for a couple of years.

I just went on the Bama 247Sports (BOL) website and it said some out of state visitors were going to be at our 2nd scrimmage this Sat and the photo on the premium article appeared to be Cam Robinson. Can anyone confirm if Cam will be on campus tomorrow?
