Robbie Caldwell (Interim Vandy Coach)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

That's not surprising, really. Most players--especially incoming players--would have a better relationship with their recruiter/position coach than the head man, and I believe the entire staff is staying on.

Vandy's schedule is pretty rough. Even matching the wins from last year might be tough, so anything resembling progress might actually get this guy the job.

As far as the "culture" fit for Vandy, he's not it but that doesn't matter. If anyone at the school cared about Vandy athletics they would schedule more friendly OOC games to help the team make it to bowl eligibility.

I wish the guy luck. He'll need it.

I have a solution.......Vandy and MSU should just swap head coaches.

Of course, Coach Bryant wore one onto the field in '64 against Ga Tech at Grant Field because of the liquor bottles that were thrown by Tech fans there two years before.

Werd. Definitely not to protect him from his own lack of intelligence as the caller eluded to.:cool2:

The guy is a joke. Yeah, it may seem cool to act like a good 'ole boy and be funny, etc. However, he is representing the best educational institution in the conference and a football team that is consistently beaten. He needs to be more professional in public, bottom line. I was embarrassed for him, honestly.

What the hell is wrong with being a good ole country boy who is excited to have a job as the head coach of an SEC team? He's just being his honest self and that is awesome! I hope Vandy wins a couple more games for him this year, and at least he could possibly fill the entertainment void left by Elaine Kiffin

:BigA: I wish that good ole country boy good success that is until we play them again. I would be excited as well as he was to get a head coaching position.

I enjoyed his media days conference more than any other coach. I hope he is as successful at Vandy as any coach can be. Never judge a book by its cover, or in this case his accent.
