Don't know about you, but I will be rooting for the Gators today. Living in ATL I am so sick of constantly hearing about how they won the second half... Also, if we make the championship game, I would much rather play the Gators in ATL than have to plays the dogs on the road twice in one season. Plus, I would love to see the doggies get paid back for the little stunt last year when they scored their first touchdown. Anybody with me?

I am in a mixed marriage with a gator. Our 4 yr old daughter has learned both "Roll Tide" and "go gators" during her young life. Last night, while trick or treating, we came to our 2nd house. She was a little aprehensive going to the door, so I pointed out the gator sign in the front yard (she loves alligators). "Look Chelsea. What's that?", I asked. "ROLL TIDE!", she replied. "No, no honey. What does Mama say?", I asked trying to steer her to the right cheer. "Go gators", she replied. "Ok, now when the man comes out you say "go gators". The man comes out with the candy and I gave her the cue to say it - "Roll Tide!" she repeats again. The older gentleman looked at me with confusion. "Mixed marriage", I offered up. I just shook my head as we walked on to our next stop and told her - "You are daddy's girl.":):BigA:

I hate UGA as much as the next guy, but a Dawg win would help us. I would rather face them again than UF.
I'll be pulling for the gators. The dogs had their shot at us and we stomped them into the ground. BRING ON THE GATORS!

I don't know that I understand your reasoning. In '99 we beat UF twice. But do you think we have a better shot at UF? That's what really counts. I just see UF as looking very tough right now.

UF has already peaked, UGA has not. But the time the SECCG rolls around, UF will be on their normal downward spiral, UGA will be playing their best. I'd much rather play UF at that point in the season. UF has a history of peaking too early. In 03' they started a 5 game mid-season winning streak by beating #3 LSU, they ended the season on a two game losing streak by losing to Iowa 37-17. Even last year they played their best ball early. They beat UT 59-20, arguably their best game of the year, it was mostly downhill from their as far as their performance. You can go back to almost any of their past 6 to 7 seasons and see a trend. They always play their best game or two early to midway through the season and they never finish strong (except 2006.)

Point being, UF will not be the same team in the SECCG that we have seen the past few weeks and neither will UGA. My hope is for Florida to win this week and hope that UGA still hasn't fully gelled. Not saying we can't beat UGA twice, but I do think it will be harder the second time around. . .

I hate the Gators, can't help it. Gonna pull for the Dawgs. Urban Crier is a pansy, anyone who talks in third person is a d#@$%@$ bag. Not sure which one I would rather play to be honest with you, both will be tough.

That's a good point, UGA was playing very well at the end of last season. Let's just hope both teams beat each other up badly. Your hypothosis would work for us perfectly too. UF should win then because they are playing better right now, but it will be UGA that will be playing better in December. I hope you are right.

Who care who wins in the Gators/Dawgs? I have no rooting interests in who wins that game, because when Alabama plays their game they can and will be everybody. The only reason why I have even the slightest interest in the Dawgs/Gators game is the hope that it is as tight as it come be, because I've been in a battle of wits with a Big 10 fan as to which conference is better.
