Hoover, Alabama, United States
I just got a call from a friend who is down on the AU campus for the annual Auburn Voices concert and out of frustration I am venting what happened here first. The concert showcases the best in Elementary and Middle School voices in the state of Alabama. She is traveling with a local Hoover school and they have about a dozen 4th and 5th graders. They arrived early today and ate lunch and were just walking around on the campus waiting for their 3:00 practice to start. A couple of the kids in the group had Alabama hats on and they had some parents with them. The AU students that saw them walking around and noticed the few kids with Bama hats on flipped the kids off and yelled some rough stuff at them. My friend was down at the last football game with me and saw how horrible they acted, but to have Elementary students on a field trip have to endure that is just tacky. We are going to write the festival and ask if it could be moved to Birmingham if this is the reception young kids on a school trip will receive on their campus. Just unbelievable.

Not surprising in the least. My first trip down there in '89, some AU redneck purposely tried to run us down as my friends and I were walking back to our car after the game. They were shouting obscenities at us and acting worse than any other school's fans I've ever encountered. Just dreadful. I've hated the place ever since and always will.

Too bad we cant get them annexed to the state of Ga since they love them so much.

all-barn=the ugliest pos village on the plain

Anyone wanna make a list of all-barn funny traits?

Like how duelling banjos puts a gleam in their eyes; or how they can marry three times and keep the same in-laws?

Looks like nobody is biting.

I'll bite, but I'll soon shake the hook loose fresh with Auburn slime for you to reel back to the boat, leaving you feeling empty and unsatisfied.

For every "toothless neck" in Auburn there are numbers to match them in Tuscaloser. We hate you, You hate us, life goes on.

If it helps you guys to sleep better at night to call us names, then by all means be my guest.

I know I get a kick out of saying ... (Edit: Deleted offensive remarks)

I suppose that I will be banned now. But wouldn't that be a double standard?
I mean I didn't start this thread, I am just one "RUDE AUBURN VOICE."

Let me see if I understand this, Auburn students(who are kids themselves) made rude and obscene comments to some kids who were walking around the Auburn campus with bammer hats on their heads.

This is the same as parents taking their kids to the zoo, wrapping a steak around their necks, throwing them into the tiger pit and then being shocked that the tigers attacked them.

What kind of parents send their kids to stroll around the Auburn campus with bammer hats on their heads? Are these parents delusional? Did they think that nothing would be said?

Hey Hey Hey! They are the problems of the beautiful state of Alabama! Don't even think about trying to shovel the cow poop over here dude...got it!
Besides the Tide will wash them clean soon enough :p_wink:

This thread is made to order for "ignorant sparring," and it doesn't have anything to do with football. BTW, the reason "TideFree" is gone is, first, his "in your face" username and, second, after looking at his other posts, he came to do nothing but try to defend AU. For others of that school (and any other schools), you have to appear to want to contribute something positive to the discussions, not just "stick up" for your school and you have to have a thick skin. Oh, and "cute" names don't help either...
