Re: Rumph to Texas

Who knows??? Predictions are all over the place on this one.

But CNS is doing some major shake up and keeping his word on the promise: "We are going to start all over."

Like belle I am in bizarro world here. If Fulmer shows up to be our new nutritionist I'll actually have problems.

BOL reporting a coach is interviewing for the job today. Can't see the name since I don't have a subscription.

Search for a new DL Coach

Who do you think it is going to be? I am excited about the rumors of Ed Ogeron and the possibility of LSU's DL Coach. Just heard that it may be Georgia's DL coach. Not sure how i feel about that one. Thoughts?

Re: Search for a new DL Coach

It's not going to be Coach O.

Wilson is interviewing today. UGA fans not happy about that.
I am torn on this one. I am sure he is plenty capable, but Georgia's D never seems to be that great at any one aspect.

Results at Miss. St. look "eh" at best. Pretty good work as OU's DE coach though.

Wilson seems to have a good pedigree. Keep in mind that the dawgs lost a boatload of talent on D to the NFL after the 2012 season, so I wouldn't blame their defensive collapse last season on him.

I don't recall anyone blaming Rumph for the lack of our DLmen's pressure over the years - that falls on the DC and his overall vision for what that cog in the defense is responsible for.

IOW, don't hold these potential DL coach hires to a different standard then you held Rumph - I suspect anyone Saban hires will be an excellent coach and if he wants a strong upfield pass rush, he'll get it.

Re: Rumph to Texas

Look guys, you can voice your opinion all you want, but do you really think it HELPS the team IN ANY WAY for you to post negative opinions about people who might be hired / are hired as coaches? We KNOW recruits, players, and even a few coaches read this forum, so let's keep in mind that support for our team is far better than splintering into groups of 'I like this guy but not that guy'...

Just a thought...

I support any coach or player that CNS wants. Until he proves otherwise, he deserves my respect in that regard. Think about it.
Thanks for this...I've been trying to get this thinking across in another couple of posts, but for some reason haven't been able to articulate it well, based on the "pushback" from some. I sense that the "flavor" of the board is not quite the same as the one I joined. We need to fully support our coaches and team. Thanks.

I'm still holding out for Brick Haley or Orgeron. Looks like neither will happen. That is why I'm not the HMIC!
