Saban speaks out on Tide fans' behavior

Do you find that most people who are obnoxious when drunk are also obnoxious when sober? Being drunk just frees um up a little.
 
The sad thing to me, is that if anything could make Saban leave eventually it would most likely be overbearing or obnoxious fans/supporters. He's not the type to be run off by the opposition or other team's fans but if his own team's fans can't get it together?

By my count Tiffin was booed in the first game, then in the third game Saban was booed and in the Georgia game we had a combination of fans throwing trash and a late night phone call to a coach. Now this isn't a crazy amount of stuff, but it is also while things are going relatively well. Honestly, are these guys going to act like this no matter what?
 
I think maybe the Alabama state troopers ought to just go to the student section and drag off about half the fraternity if they get too drunk and obnoxious and start throwing stuff. They might need to have a jail right there at the stadium.

I sat in the non-Greek student section during the Arkansas game and it was awful. I've never seen such a nasty, uneducated and rude group of people in my life. You think the Greek section is bad?? At least they have the decency to dress properly at the games. These morons looked like they just left the circus or just rolled out of bed. Also, I was shocked to see empty liquor bottles and minis under the seats. Yep, I didn't think GDI's drank during the game. Oh and the girls with "SABAN NATION" and "GOT 12? WE DO" shirts were grinding on the seats like it was Soul Train or something. Also, the cops were constantly escorting students to the exits. Thankfully there were a few good looking people, but those were the Greek girls who didn't have a date or a place to sit in the Greek section. It was an awful experience and I hope that my child, when I have one, never has to sit with these students. I could go on and on, but I'll stop

Got 12 ... we do? The female Bama fans were bumping and grinding on the seats at the stadium? Bama girls gone wild? Dayum. Did you see that Collette Connell girl with them? I'm sure she was plenty drunk. :rolleyes:

I'm thinking that it's Brittney Spears who is getting the girls to go wild in the South. Maybe that commentator covering the game was looking at our Bama girls in the stands. Those girls should be going to church! I'm sure their daddies would not be proud of them going wild like Brittney and Lindsey Lohan in the stands.

I'm sure Saban has dealt with plenty of obnoxious fans and supporters when he was at LSU. Their fans are as overbearing as ours are. Hard to believe, but true. The LSU fans get VERY drunk and wild at those night games in Baton Rouge. You should see how wasted everyone is on the LSU fraternity row. They sell liquor in drug stores and everywhere else down there. I don't see how the students manage to study at LSU with all that stuff going on. They have strippers come to the frat houses all the time. It makes that Animal House movie look lame.

Well, in my own humble opinion, If it happens again then move the student section to the topmost furthermost section of the stadium, put them in a cage and let them act a fool up there all they want to.

The whole thing is that we do not do stuff like that as a rule of class. As for UGA celebrating in the endzone, more power to them. They made a great play to secure a much needed win in the SEC. It was a good game. Both teams played hard and the results just didn't turn up in our favor. As for the idiot who called a coach at 3am in the morn, What in the world were you doing waiting to call a coach at 3am to complain to him? Did you think it was going to prompt the coaching staff to immidiately seek your wisdom and sign you to a coaching contract? That is just beyond words.
