Given the latest at PSU, Franklin perhaps goes off the list.
That’s exactly the reason I think he may take a Bama offer, to prove against the best. Of course he may not.I'm a 'never coach awwshucks' guy myself, but for those saying we should go after him - what makes you think he can get his team up and keep them up week in and out vs SEC competition? Everyone knows clempson play what amounts to a G5 schedule before the playoffs (even theAACACC CG is often against vastly inferior competition) - why do you assume he can get the team ready for the week in-and-out grind of SEC play?
How have the HC hires recommended by Saban worked out for other schools? One factor to keep in mind: Dabo and Saban have become pretty big buds.
Pruitt would be the ideal head coach once CNS decides to retire. Tenn has had to be built from the ground up and it will take another couple of recruiting periods to get there. Added to that there is probable interference from the Phat-one above which is probably troublesome. That being said, I hope CNS stays around for a many more years until he is off to Lake Burton.
He would be an awful hire.James Franklin would not be a bad hire!
Sure - assuming you like team-mates threatening to rape each other.James Franklin would not be a bad hire!

That is the point. This is not what Saban does. So, unless he is going to apply the same rigor to the process that he would game prep or recruiting analysis, I would find his recommendations to be suspect. That’s not the point. What is the point is Saban will have a big say in who follows him.
This 110%...But our assistant coaches would have hot wives!!! (If you don't get that, Google it...)Sure - assuming you like team-mates threatening to rape each other.
(perceive blue font if you feel it necessary)
I'd literally quit Bama football if they hired that dirtbag. Not even kidding.
Nick Saban knows no other way...He is The Process, and The Process is He.That is the point. This is not what Saban does. So, unless he is going to apply the same rigor to the process that he would game prep or recruiting analysis, I would find his recommendations to be suspect.
That said, if Saban did place that type of rigor around anything, I suspect that the results would be excellent.

I would love nothing more for Pruitt's years at UT to be him polishing his skills as a HC then taking the Bama job and we beat them for another 15 years. LOL!
My bold prediction - William Vlachos. Yea, he is just an offensive coach for Mel Tucker in Colorado right now but in 10 years when coach retires he will be a hot commodity![]()

I’d wager that, even with the most menial routines in his daily life, Nick Saban has a plan to control every possible variable, while focusing on maximum performance...as it relates to the best possible outcome.
I love the door, but that's not a time saver, that's an intimidator.Saban is OCD and very focused.
Speaking of menial routines, he has a remote control in his office to open and close his door so he does not have to waste however many seconds each time to do it. Not sure how many minutes that would add up to in one day, but every second counts to him.
He wouldn't need to win a national championship at UT to be successful enough to follow Saban. You guys thinking this thru??? For Pruitt to be our next coach that means he'd probably need to get UT back to the point they are beating us regularly, winning SEC championships and preferably at least winning 1 NC at Tennessee. Do we really want CJP to succeed that much????
