Pardon if this has been covered...I searched and didn't find it if so...

Here's to Milliner's Pass Interference. I was sitting with the father in law watching on the tube, and immediately commented "I'll take that." Although it was likely to be a penalty, it wasn't just a cheap shot; it saved a touchdown, which meant that the other team has to beat you on (at least) one more play. The defense then wins the next battle/play, and then gets the turnover on the next, neither of which would have been possible had Milliner let up when he was initially beaten on the play. Whether it's an example of taking a head's up penalty, or continuing to compete (after just having been flagged, beaten on the play, and up by 25 in the 3rd quarter), it's good stuff.

Good point. It's rare indeed that a penalty turns out to be a good thing when it's on you. But in this case you're spot on. Gave the D the chance to do the great job they did.

You play the ball if you are in position...if not...you play the man. Had Milliner timed it better he would have made a legitimate pass breakup. Regardless, he did the right thing and it ended up working out for us. Even though he committed the foul, he did it with discipline.

It was one of those "good" penalties. Plus, he was oh so close to making the play without the flag.
