One of my favorite events of the year ranking right up there with the Chinese New Year, Ashura, and Boxing Day, has begun in earnest.

On Thursday, two runners were reported as having been gored, and several others injured from falling down. Further photos to be featured here as the festivities roll onward. :)

Running with the bulls is on my list of "things to do before I die." Although, to extend my life expectancy, I probably should have gotten to this line item earlier (when I was faster and a little more nimble). ;)

It would take massive amounts of liquid courage to entice me to do this. Still, I'm not the sprinter I once was, either. I'd rather hang from the balconies with a lovely Hemingway-esque woman on my arm, smoke cigars and sip brandy and write about it.

Ha Ha I second that.

I was watching bull fighting on youtube and can say that I was rooting for the bulls in every battle. I am not a animal rights extremist but anytime you put an animal thru pain such as this then I have no problem seeing them messup these fools, even to the grave.:mad2:

I would call it "Running From the bulls" not with the bulls. I like the idea of watching from a balcony with a good drink and a sexy senorita.

I agree; I am no activist, but I can't take Europe seriously when they complain about our treatment of animals/ hunting and think of bullfighting as "sport." PETA should worry about this stuff more than it worries about Paul the Octopus.
