The guy's looking really really slim. I couldn't believe it. I thought I'd seen him in a class somewhere before and I knew he looked familiar. Make no mistake, though, the guy's still a monster compared to me, and I'm a big guy.

I wonder how far into the ground he could stomp me and how few stomps he could do it in..

Not sure how big of a boy you are. I'm positive that I'd rather see how well AS stomps some defenders in the ground next season.

No offense to you but, it would be better to see than to just hear about.

This post raises a really good question: Without having heard much about this during the offseason (not that there has been much of one yet), has anyone heard anything about our offseason conditioning program and how it is going?

Last year we heard so much about "making pizzas" and just how hard the guys were working, but we have not heard any of that (at least I have not) this year. If Andre has slimmed down even more, it makes me think they must be getting pushed pretty hard.....at least that is my Crimson-colored glasses view of your AS sighting. ;)

I had posted a thread about a week ago or so about the QBs, RBs, and WRs doing some throw arounds for a couple of days at the indoor football practice field and the kickers kicking FGs (Leigh Tiffin hit several from the 45-yd line with plenty of room to spare) and I saw the largest group of guys starting drills yesterday with who I presume was the S&C coach. The group looked like more stockier but athletic group so I was thinking they were predominantly linemen and/or linebacker type guys. That's probably all I could ever mention because the indoor football facility is now off-limits to any sport other than football.

6'4 320lbs

I am sitting at about 310 now...working my way down.

It is hard to believe that I had gotten as big as I did. The first time I weighed in after I started my diet and exercise regimen, I was 367 (Sept 1). I started my program at the beginning of August and estimate that I had already lost 20 pounds or so by Sept 1. I was 357 when we played UGA, and about 320 at Christmas...I just have to keep going.

I am a big guy and carry my weight well (I have a 42" waist right now - I can squeeze into 40's but they are a bit tight)...but I need to get under 250 to be healthy. The last time I was 250, I wore a 36" jean...at 240 I wear a 34...I would like to get down to around 230 which would put me at virtually no body fat.

Must keep going...

Under 300 by Feb 21.
285 by April 1
250 by July 1
230+ and toned up by Christmas.

The only six pack I have ever had used pop-tops. I am going to have one - regardless of what Payton Manning says.

Setting goals like this is the way to go. When I powerlifted, I was up to about 250. However, I don't carry that much weight well at 6'0" but I was strong as a bull. When I decided to focus more on cardio and got back into boxing and MMA, I got down to my present weight of 215. Also had alot of help working with a few bodybuilders that were prepping for a contest. Lost some strength but my endurance is back, as well as being really cut. If you need any pointers on cutting weight while keeping muscle, feel free to PM me. It's a fine line balancing eating and working out.

I would imagine at 230, you would be a beast. Good luck.

You cut down to 205 and fight Light Heavy or stay at Heavy?

Yeah, 230 is about as low as I can go...I have 9" wrists and wear a 50 jacket when I have a 34" waist. I used to fight...but I have the same problem in my shoulders that I have in my left knee...I have Shannon Brown's problem and that does not translate well to boxing. I am only 6'1.5, but my frame is really heavy.

I actually know a lot about power lifting and dieting...I used to be a competitive lifter. When I start my hard core workout, I will be taking a serious supplement (really serious) before lifting and whey protein / muscle milk after working out. I don't eat much at all...mostly protein shakes, fish, and salads. We ate out and had chinese tonight, but I had mostly sushi, steak, and shrimp, and I took an Alli which should eliminate most of the fat. I had nothing breaded or glazed with a sauce. Those are the real killers at Chinese restaurants. They put oil on everything, but Alli rules. It does not eliminate all of the fat, but it cuts enough to make a meal within limits when you eat out. The "treatment effects" can be a bit rough if you overdo it though.

Thanks for the support and offer of assistance.

Sorry for straying so far off topic.
