A once great band. Suckage came after Terry Kath's death. But they went on to sell a lot of records with that AM/Top 40 sound.
But, but, but, GUNS are permit-less carry allowed in Gary, so crime should be A LOT lower than Chicago, right, right, right?Probably because Gary is a small town, not one of the biggest cities in the country.
Not sure why you’re hung up on this. No one really cares about a town of 65k people compared to one of the most populated and well-known cities in the country. But, but, but, GUNS are permit-less carry allowed in Gary, so crime should be A LOT lower than Chicago, right, right, right?
It's just been the constant, "Chicago's gun laws are proof that gun laws don't work blah, blah, blah", and I say, if gun laws don't work, then Gary Indiana should be the safest city on the planet. But Gary is even less safe as mo guns = mo problems. Especially since guns flow right up from Gary, Indiana into Chicago. Not sure why you’re hung up on this. And per capita, crime may well be a lot lower in Chicago. Iirc, Chicago isn’t even in the top 20 most violent cities in the US.
Heck, Memphis is #1 yet no one cares.

Parking is anothe matter altogether but we made it!
Driven through Gary a number of times from the south on the skyway to downtown Chicago. The miles and miles of abandoned steel mills and solid waste disposal sites on the south side of Chicago remind me of a post apocalyptic movie.Chicago's crime rate is significantly lower than Gary, Indiana, which is just south of South Chicago. Why this isn't in the news all of the time, I can't say, but it should be.
