"It's not a personal thing," he said. "It's like playing Tommy. It was cute there for a while. Now it hurts the family."

Bobby also has mixed feelings about his first Bama Bowl.

"I've got so many friends in Alabama," he said. "They'll be sitting in that red section. Which is fine."

I'm not sure if this is the reason we haven't played in the past (Since Coach Bowden has been there) , but I always thought that might be the case. Thanks for the link.

Is every game Bowden and FSU play in a "bowl game"? I'm getting sick of hearing "The Bowden Bowl" or "The Bama Bowl" or whatever. Guys, it's a regular season game for crying out loud!!

Roll Tide!!

I'm confused from the article-how does needing an field goal to win a game and bear saying we wont' play FSU as long as he's the Dir tie in to each other? Did Bobby do something bad inbetween? ??

Why would Bryant not want to play FSU?

I guess the game was too close for comfort. FSU wasn't always a national power. Might be like having a near-loss to UAB.

Red?? Who is this red section that he is speaking of??? Are they playing Georgia (red) or Arkansas (red)?? Oh, he meant that crimson section

Fellow Bama fans.please don't get sucked in by good old Bobyy's comments. He would dearly love to kick our butts big time. It would be a big feather in his war bonnet to retire on. JoePa has beat Bama and BB wants to match or better anything Joe has done. Frankly I think if we finally play mistake free football, we can blow FSU off the field. Bowden is no match for Saban as a game day coach.

I am sure you know that the Bowden today is no where close to being the coach he was 5 years ago. In todays world Bowden is no match for Saban. Bowden should have retired 3 years ago and so should JoePa.
