Tears in my eyes as well. This transcends the game by far.

Seems like a lot of our players have done things like this in recent years. It's great to see our players getting press for humility and generosity rather than arrogance and bad behavior. Helps to avoid becoming Goliath to other teams' David.

A few years ago we organized a ride to Children's Hospital in Birmingham. We took toys and various supplies but the main thing we took were do-rags adorned with the Superman logo. Those kids who had lost their hair absolutely loved do-rags and it was our great fortune to be able to supply them with about 500 of them. I can tell you from experience that it means an awful lot to AJ and I expect he feels that he has received a lot more than he has given.

I have to say another shining light on this is that Kenny Bell and AJ both raised money for little Starla. I appreciate there play , ability, and notoriety and help the fellow person. I read it and was inspired.
