I think UGA may have out thought themselves on the decision to have two spies on Milroe most of the game. I think this may have stopped a scramble or two but it gave Milroe plenty of time to throw most of the time. Normally UGA always has pressure on the QB.
I admire this young man. He has overcome every obstacle put in front of him and continues to get better with every opportunity.
His biggest blind spot has been hitting the check-down when downfield receivers are covered. The receivers have not mastered finding the soft spots to get open. Jaylen hit his outlets tonight, except for the couple times he was sacked.
Burtons drop in the end zone and a couple other drops would have gone a long way towards putting the game out of reach instead of winning by 3.
Jaylen’s play tonight should prove the “naysayers” wrong when he went down at the ends to keep the clock ticking and then making first downs with his legs to run out the clock. It was sweet watching Kirby’s offense stand on the sideline helplessly as the seconds clicked down to 00..
Without Jaylen’s leadership on offense and the defense playing lights out, this win would have never happened.
Beat Michigan! Roll Tide!
