Watching the Sr. Bowl on TV, I thought the Bama players looked pretty good. There was a lot I couldn't see on TV, of course, but despite a couple sacks on Brodie, I thought he did well. Nothing that would hurt his chances in the draft. Unlike what I saw from Shockley and Hackney, who I thought were terrible! The TV crew and the coaches spoke very well of Brodie (regarding the whole week) more than once.

The Bama defensemen seemed to be all over the place...of course there were several in the game. Anderson had a good game for sure.

This is not something I've been keeping up with, but I saw a possible draft list during the game that showed Vince Young being picked by the Titans. I'd like to see that happen. Would renew my interest in the Titans. Never been much of a pro football fan, but whoever takes Brodie and Demeco will get my interest. Just as Seattle has with Shaun Alexander since he started with them. Go Seahawks in the SB!

A couple of things about the Titans. McNair's agent has said he will demand the 8 million due him this year in salary and another 2 million in bonuses. He will "demand" 10 million this year. Thus far, the Titans have said they'd probably be okay to pay it, but that's just talk right now. So, they have to decide (1) what to do with McNair (2) do you pay Vince 3rd pick money to sit on the bench for one to two years (3) do you trade down and pick up a better "value" (ie: someone who will play immediately for a smaller price).

Should McNair stay for 1-2 more years, I don't know that they'll pick up Vince. They have needs at OL, LB, and in the secondary. They also are underwhelmed with their rushing ends on the D-line. Trading down to 8 or lower would really help them financially. The Vince thing has come about because of Vince's relationship with McNair.....the perfect protege, if you will. That brings in the whole "pay Vince to ride the bench for two years" situation. Floyd Reese is not a fan of that. They have to do something, though. My personal opinion is that if they pay McNair, they'll trade down, get some value and some help in other places, and possibly see what QBs are hanging around in rounds 2 or 3. If they decide they won't pay Steve, then Vince is a Titan.

Why wouldn't the Titans sit down Vince Young for two years? They did it with Steve "The Chair" McNair when they drafted him. That was his nickname because he couldn't beat Chris Chandler out of the job, until Chandler got hurt. Why wouldn't they do it again?

Am I missing something, but aren't these "The Oilers" only packaged with a different name? Did the Titans/Oilers suddenly turn into a forward thinking organization simply because they moved to Tennessee?

I think he was saying the titans do not have the cap room to pay both mcnair's upcoming salary plus sign young and keep him on the bench for a year or two especially considering the needs at other positions.
