Serious Question: What will happen to all the "W" bumper stickers?!

I thought they were a great idea when they first came out (from a PR perspective), but have always wondered when people would finally take them off their cars, ahem, sorry, gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs (these are Bush supporters we're talking about after all) :)

Like most campaigns, they eventually ran their course, such as the Budweiser "Wassssup" commercials. They were everywhere (I was in school at Bama...of course they were everywhere) After he won in 2004, then I thought they'd go away, alas...No.

We then saw the emergence of the "W: Still the President" stickers, which made me absolutely hate them. Although, sadly I'm sure there are some people living in America who might not have known he won the election had it not been for reading someone's bumper sticker...

Now that he will be out of office soon, will they finally go away? And if not, how will they mesh with the Huckabee/Romney/McCain/Giuliani/Thompson (yep, I left Paul off the list just to rile those people up since he gets left out of everything) stickers that I'm sure will be out in full force soon?

The "W" sticker will go down as the worst thing to happen to our country during the past eight years with GWB as president. The War in Iraq? No. A national debt nearing $10 trillion? No. The economy and unemployment rates? No. The Patriot Act? No. 'W' Stickers? YES!

I now see stickers for all sorts of letters, and I'm sometimes able to make out what they are supposed to mean.

"S the Coach" is cringe-inducing.

P.S. "Google Ron Paul"

I will replace my W sticker w/" Clinton again: Are U friggin kiddn me!" or "Just what is an Obama anyway" or "Who was that other demo candidate I can't recall".

Whichever I choose will be placed on my new Tahoe right beside my USMC retired sticker just above my Bama hitch cover.

This is either a teaser title, or someone needs some help with their priorities. Somehow what happens to bumper stickers (any bumper stickers) is a "serious question"?

Like most bumper stickers, they'll fade away. In five or ten years you'll still see one every now and then.

I think the point of this thread, though, was to take a jab at Bush and/or the Right. Why not just bring up Bush and what he's done/not done and have an honest and open discussion?

"F the President" was pretty popular for a while.
Some clever entrepreneur marketed "F" stickers that were exactly the right size to cover up the "W" on existing stickers. The beauty of the item is that initially democrats used them; if a Democrat wins this time around, republicans will buy them in droves.

I guess sarcasm is lost on some people. Lighten up maybe? It'll add years to your life...And for future reference, it would have been a teaser title had the title only read "Serious Question" with no indication to what was inside. The fact that I added what the question was negates the "teaser title" label. Thanks though!

Nope. Maybe I didn't use enough smilies. I hope some people understood it as making fun of both sides a little...If I wanted to have a serious political discussion, I would have started a serious political discussion. I guess you failed to see the humor/sarcasm as well. Plus, I've been here long enough to know how those threads end up...
