I thought they were a great idea when they first came out (from a PR perspective), but have always wondered when people would finally take them off their cars, ahem, sorry, gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs (these are Bush supporters we're talking about after all)
Like most campaigns, they eventually ran their course, such as the Budweiser "Wassssup" commercials. They were everywhere (I was in school at Bama...of course they were everywhere) After he won in 2004, then I thought they'd go away, alas...No.
We then saw the emergence of the "W: Still the President" stickers, which made me absolutely hate them. Although, sadly I'm sure there are some people living in America who might not have known he won the election had it not been for reading someone's bumper sticker...
Now that he will be out of office soon, will they finally go away? And if not, how will they mesh with the Huckabee/Romney/McCain/Giuliani/Thompson (yep, I left Paul off the list just to rile those people up since he gets left out of everything) stickers that I'm sure will be out in full force soon?
The "W" sticker will go down as the worst thing to happen to our country during the past eight years with GWB as president. The War in Iraq? No. A national debt nearing $10 trillion? No. The economy and unemployment rates? No. The Patriot Act? No. 'W' Stickers? YES!
