I imagine their Classy fans had jobs to go back to. And lives. And..some schools are just....passing that stuff along to each other. I always thought CPB was mindful of this. He would say..prior to a bowl game..and to ALL Bama fans whether a grad or not...to be sure to show Class wherever we went. He was concerned when he saw Bama fans displaying a lack of class. How many coaches do that today? The year after we lost on the last play to Clemson and DeShaun Watson I happened to be in New Orleans due to the death of my Uncle. There were a ton of Clemson folks staying there for what I don’t know. Anyway I tried talking with them and congratulated them on their season and championship. They proceeded to say rather profane words with Bama being the second word (which I heard periodically throughout my stay because I always had my Bama hat on). To a man they either Stated how they were robbed of the first title too, or they ran out of time and both sentiments said Clemson would be owning Bama for the rest of eternity. Never once did they act with class. And this was like 30 folks that ran the gamut in age. Perhaps I just interacted with the 30 worst Clemson fans but I’ve seen that general attitude since then and it is general the viewpoint I hear from other schools fans that have interacted with them. Maybe it’s an Orange thing. maybe it’s a Tiger thing. Perhaps it’s a Dabo thing. Just count me in the category of “Not a fan of the whole Clemson fambly.”
