In all my classes over 4 years at Bama, I only had one professor who actually taught on the first day of class. Mostly it's a walk-through of the syllabus. With a night class you never know, but I still think you should skip.

The ER you better suck it up and wait till the end of the game. From my experience you would be in the ER longer than the game last anyway.
