IIRC, his lawsuit against TTU was dismissed on the grounds it is essentially "the state" and you can't sue "the state." His only lawsuit now is against ESPN.

The talk around here is that WSU is pushing hard to get him, but imo he'd do very well at Arizona St. I know he comes off as quirky and smug but I kinda like the guy.

Some schools are desperate now but I think you will see even more next year, the pending lawsuit against the Evil Empire, will hold him back until it is settled IMO, the longer he stays out the better his case against ESPN.

I like Leach he would be Great in the SEC bringing something really different, like Spurrier did.

That's what I have heard plus Kansas, all reasonably good programs with no NC expectations just be competitive.

IF it happens this year, I'd guess it'll be Wazzu, ASU, Kansas -- or Mississippi State (if Mullen leaves). Schools with potential to be decent; but desperate enough to take the chance.

I've heard this as well. The rumor is that he tops Wazzou's list. I think he would be a good fit in Pullman and he'd probably do reasonably well up there.

He specifically expressed interest in UCLA a year or so ago in an interview, but I've heard they are looking to shell out around $3 million for the next coach and I doubt Leach will be in play at that level.

Not sure if this is reliable, but I've heard that it's practically a done deal that Mark Hudspeth goes to MSU if Mullen leaves. They could do a lot worse, IMO. But it sure would be interesting to see Leach operate in the SEC.
