Man oh man - We put Pennington in the spotlight situation again! I really thought he would come through with the bases loaded in the eighth. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

Does anyone know where we may play in the regionals? Roll Tide in the regionals!!
 
They will probably send us to Alaska, maybe Guam. Seems like they always send Bama as far away from home as possible.
 
I hope Spence has a breakout year next year like Gabe did this year - if he dedicates himself in the summer and fall, I think he can.

Anyone notice that sorry-arse Barry Gunther talking trash to SP after he struck out? Another reason to hate those losers.
 
Heartbreaker!!

I hate it for all the guy's!! This team's so much better than last year! Maybe we will shine in the NCAA tourney....if our bat's wake up! RTR!!!
 
I thought Rocky Scelfo should have been pinch-hitting in that situation instead of Pennington. Throw the righty-lefty matchup out the window and go with the best available bat, not to mention the fact that Rocky has come through with several clutch hits this season (and in recent games). Even if Wells was bound and determined to hit a lefty in that situation, Matt Bentley would have been the superior option. I'm not saying that Spencer won't help us out next season, and I am aware of the fact that he came through with a big hit against Florida, but I'd much rather have taken my chances with Rocky at the plate.
 
Other options

I agree there were other more capable options that have proven themselves. When was the last time Spencer had played? Scelfo, Bently and Grooms may have been better proven options.
We'll know where we go today. ESPN has their 30 minute show at I believe 10:30.
