St. Paul's Recruits and Videos

St. Paul's Episcopal school in Mobile is loaded with talent this year. Running back Ivan Matchett has already committed to Alabama, but he is just one of four possible recruits that Alabama could land. Athlete Mark Barron, Wide Receiver Destin Hood, and cornerback Louis Watson are all big time recruits that the Tide could land. Rivals has Barron as the number 5 player in the state and in the rivals 100. I have heard that Matchett believes he could get all his teammates to commit with him. That would be huge for Alabama. That really is a great first post, thanks for the videos. I don't know much about St. Paul's but I am guessing they don't lose much. Can anyone enlighten me on how St. Paul's has done the past few years?

Thanks. Last year St. Paul's went 11-2. They lost one game in the regular season by 1 point to their rival, UMS Wright, and they lost in the third round of the playoffs to Eufala by 4 points. The year before that, they were not as good, going 8-5 and losing in the third round of the playoffs.

Another player I forgot about is their QB AJ McCarron. He is only a sophomore this year but rivals has already written a few articles about about him saying he could be one of the top recruits of his class. Here is a highlight video of him.

Just an update, Hood, McCarron, and Barron were at the A Day game in the recruits section and Coach Saban was at St. Paul's today to meet with McCarron, Matchett, Barron, Hood, and Watson.

Unfortunately, i think he did. And so did an assistant coach from Georgia and an assistant coach from i think Ole Miss.
