All the people you see on the ramps and other places. These people have a regular ticket or a seat that they could sit in if they choose but instead they want to go stand on the ramp?

Just curious if there was a such thing as a standing ticket or maybe they slipped the usher a 20 and got in that way.....

Thanks

I'm not aware that Alabama sells any "SRO" tickets to the Tuscaloosa games. But I noticed Ole Miss has an entire SRO section on its stadium diagram.

A good friend of mine grew up and AU fan and went there for college. To earn some money he helped run a parking lot on game days down there. One other perk was that he received a standing room only wristband that got him in every game. I would not be surprised if we had something like this for Tuscaloosa. So, I am guessing it is something the staff can take advantage of. I don't think it is something for sell, but rather a perk for some.

It is. The Boy Scout troops that park cars on campus can get in and stand on the ramps that way.

I think the ramp simply offers better views for some people than the ones they pay for - unobstructed view, and nobody in front of or behind them telling them to sit down or shut up.

Or for those of us who get nervous and need to move around and have some space.

I also know that High School coaches and Athletic Directors can sometimes get free admission into the games, but they do not get a seat. Thus, most end up standing on the ramps. My dad is was a HS athletic director and got into the 2005 Tennessee game that way.

Could you imagine sitting next to the "Ramp Lady" for a whole game?:)

Hmm when me and my Dad would go we always had a seat. Or at least that's the way I remember it. Of course, the last game I went to was in the mid-nineties. Before the curse....
