It's because both those states neighbor/adjoin the states they are supporting...and as such, they contain many from those states that they support...even though they do not live in that state.

You're so right Carl, I was in Austin last weekend, went to mall with Bama shirt on, everyone that said something was "not OU", "roll tide" was yelled a lot.

I find it difficult to believe that Oregon supports OU. The only ones I know that are is only due to them harassing me for supporting Alabama. Roll Tide
