I had to share this here because everyone (Bama) will understand the feeling.
Saturday before last, I was at home trying to clear brush and get some repairs done around the house (no Bama football on) while my wife and daughter went shopping. Did I mention that I was having a bad week to go along with all of this activity? Well, the phone rang and it was my wife, I was short w/her and told her I had to go. About 30 minutes later, the phone rang again. It was my wife again. She said hold on I have someone who wants to talk to you. A voice comes over the phone and says, "Hey D (my name's Derek), this is Deuce and Prince Wembly talking BAMA football and keeping it real!" OMG! :eek2: IT'S DAVID FREAKING PALMER!!!!! We talked for about 5 minutes. I told him several times (like a little kid) what an honor it was to talk to him and Prince. I said thank you to both for all that they did for our University and for winning the 1993 Sugar. My wife was in line (still don't know why) at a autograph signing at one of our malls and asked Deuce if he would talk to me since I couldn't be there. What a class act! BTW, my wife is a HUGE gator fan and stood in line for quite a while to do this. I'm a lucky guy.
