Take it easy on us guys

Take it easy on Tennessee? After what Fulmer did?

Never, never, never. Not ever.

Racking up a hundred points and shutting out the Vols is far too kind, given what Tennessee deserves for what Fulmer and the rest of the AD did - and tried to do - to Bama.

OK, VOLGUY, I, for one am really glad to see the rivalry returning to what it once was...two great traditions who want to kill each other on the field, but who have a ton of respect for each other. I am an old guy, and remember how it once was. I don't "hate" Tennessee...just a couple of your former coaches. I just want to "clean your clock" every year, that's all. Roll Tide!

But then, I want Alabama to clean everyone's clock, year after year! I like these boring 52-0 games.

Even at the end of your game I was on the edge of my seat - I wanted the shut out. I wasn't bored for a second.

No...I just can't see it. My last few years working in Memphis ended in '05. Right near the end of the worst time in Bama football in my 40 years as a fan. And a very MAJOR reason for that was because of utn. If I could enable Bama to beat utn into submission by halfway through the first quarter of every game for the remainder of what life I have left...so be it. As it is, I will be content with a 1 point victory. Same thing for *u, nd, and utx. What was a healthy rivalry before what I believe was a set up by Kramer and Phil is no more.

Got into a "fight" with my Aubie girlfriend in the last few minutes about this.
Her position was that Arkansas should have kicked a field goal to prevent the shutout.
My position was that Arkansas showed guts by going for the first down even though they failed.

Yeah true but I just hate them so much!!!

My dislike for the vols is FAR, FAR greater than for the little nuisance down on the plains. As much as I respect the way our coaches get the second line guys in and not run up the scores too much, I want our starters to log every snap against tnrc, actually, I take that back - I want our second team guys to dominate just as completely as our first teamers, and then our third teams to do the same, then I want a walk-on to score a TD, just so tnrc knows they have no business being in the game. I'd like for tnrc to not cross the 50 on offense and for us to score a TD every time we get the ball, and go for two just because we can. I want a blow out of epic proportions that makes tnrc question why they even continue to play the game. I want tnrc players to just QUIT in the second half, and for that QUIT to stay with them for the rest of the season. I want them completely demoralized. I want to see their fans crying in the stands, before they head for the exits at halftime knowing the game is already over. I want to see orange filling up trash cans and littered on the side of the road as tnrc fans dump their gear in abject shame.

I know it's not likely to happen that way, but that's my dream, and I'm holding onto it!

I agree with you - let your players try for the TD - you know that they didn't want to kick the FG. Coaches kick FGs in this situation to save face. It is about them, not the team. Have to give Bielema credit for letting his players go for it.

That is like bunting to break up a no-hitter. Bush league...

This is me, too. Alabama - Tennessee was once a measuring stick for both programs each year and there was respect between the schools and the players. Fulmer is gone, TennStud has faded, and CNS is running our program the right way. CBJ seems capable of stabilizing Tennessee and possibly having extended success there. As an Alabama fan it would mean something to me to hear CBJ acknowledge that this rivalry was born and bred out of respect for one another and it needs to get back to that. I may have contempt & disgust for CPF, but I think both sides have some blame for what we've turned the 3rd Saturday in October into.

I find it hard to believe that CPB and General Neyland would approve.

If it makes you feel any better I along (presumably) with many other Bama fans will be pulling for y'all to beat the barn when they go up to Neyland and that's about it though...

The two SEC teams I hate the most, the Viles and the Boogs. How on EARTH do you pick who to cheer for?

Here's to hoping we hang at least 49 on the Viles in a shut out and the Viles beat the Boogs by at least 1. Roll Tide!!
