Talk of Kelly To Michigan?

They'll almost certainly promote the guy that coached during Harbaugh's suspensions. How much staff is left though is yet to be determined....appears he will take a few with him.

Where is the "Kelly to Michigan" talk originating? Has he or people near him given any indication? Anything more than his familiarity with the region and wishful thinking on the part of LSU's rivals?
Actually it was originated from Matt Moscona, a fairly reputable LSU insider. Back in December he stated that “if Harbaugh bolted to the NFL, and there was interest from Michigan, Kelly would absolutely take the job. In addition, Kelly’s buyout dropped to $2 million January 1st.

So the possibility of Kelly bolting to Michigan wasn’t precipitated by wishful thinking of rival fans. It was LSU’s own insider.

It was different coaches for different games. It wasn’t the same guy each time

With the impending sanctions looming over the UM staff, Harbaugh will probably take most of them along with him. UM is probably looking at a pretty harsh penalty due to recruiting during the Covid shutdown and the sign stealing. It will be interesting. RTR
