All-American
is the Grandson of Clem Gryska. Clem was a long-time friend of CPB and a recruiting coordinator (along with a lot of other duties).

there is an article on www.al.com that's a pretty good read.

the Grandson, Ted, has pretty good size and speed at 6-5, 242 lbs (per bamamag.com) I wonder if he will get a shot at special teams or something in '04 as i realize we have too much healthy talent at TE for him to get a shot... especially after the other walk-ons got most of the reps in spring.

Bamamag lists him as a junior. is this correct?

The story on al.com about Coach Gryska is a good one. He deserves any respect that is shown to him.
I worked at the museum from 99-02 while I was a student at The University and got to know Coach Gryska really well. He tells some of the most incredible stories that you never really get to hear.
Some of my best memories down there were when I would just sit around and listen to him and Coach Jack Rutledge tell old stories. They really lived through some amazing times. Between the two, they have won 12 national championships and should have won a few more, such as 1945 for Coach Gryska as a player, and 1966 and 1977 for both as coaches.
I always thought that we should record those stories and then last year they had the reunion video and someone else got rich off of it.
Oh, well. At least I got to hear them first hand.
