Guess "good guys with guns" aren't welcome at Ted's performances, thought that was the best way to be safe?

A quote from Ted Nugent

"Anybody that wants to disarm me can drop dead," Ted Nugent tells CNN's Piers Morgan. "Anybody that wants to make me unarmed and helpless, people that want to literally create the proven places where more innocents are killed called gun-free zones, we're going to beat you. We're going to vote you out of office or suck on my machine gun."

Those upset with the no gun rule wouldn't go on camera with us, but had lots to say off camera. But the majority were just fine with seeing Nugent, who promotes open carry and gun rights, without their weapons, despite being pro-gun themselves.

"I don't have a problem with that at all. I think you can look around and see this is an orderly crowd and I didn't anticipate anything else," Nugent fan Tom Miller said.

"I think it's probably pretty safe because some people get in there and get pretty crazy, and I came to see the show. I don't want to get shot," Donna Belcher added.
From the article.....LOL -- couldn't find even one? Come on.... ;)

Kind of like anti-gun "celebrities" with security details all with handguns.....

those anti-gun celebs are hypocrites I agree

this is just as bad though completely unsurprising coming from a pedophile that didn't bathe for a month then shat himself to get out of service in Vietnam

I would imagine the venue has rules regarding weapons. My brother in law had to take a small pocket knife back to the car when they checked at the entrance at a concert at the Lakewood Amphitheater in Antioch Tenn.

No, it had nothing to do with the venue. The article states it was Nugent's promoter and their contract with Nugent. My guess is due to liability reasons as is with most things.
