I have been out of the state since Saturday, been without an internet connection since last Sunday, so I'm trying to play catch up with Tennessee week news.

Obviously Prothro being out is old news, but I guess the big news from this week has been that it looks like Hall is going to be out, or, at best, very far from 100%.

I assume there is rampant hope that a couple of guys will "step up' and take the place of our two top receivers.

So....what has been the general 'take' on this situation?

The news...

has not really been that DJ is out. He practiced today. I would imagine that a local anesthetic will be given in the sore area and he should be close to 100%...

TideMobileBay, don't know where you get your DJ Hall info but Coach Shula said DJ was at practice on Sunday wearing a rib protector and impressed the coaches with his quick return to the field.

CMS Quote "He practiced on Sunday, which surprised us," Mike Shula said following Wednesday's practice. "He's been really good. He didn't miss a beat."

Coach said DJ's chances of playing this Saturday, including punt returns, are "above probable".

Well...

I have been in a news vacuum, and so I admittedly don't know anything about Hall right now(which is my reason for the post). Still, if I read it wrong, then I stand corrected, however I thought a read on this board that he might be out or far from 100% for the game. I apologize if I read it wrong. Also, driving through Georgia tonight I did here the same kind of 'speculation' about Hall's status.

I will be very happy to stand corrected.

Coach Shula said after practice today that DJ did not miss any reps. He said DJ is "above probable" and he does not expect him to have to wear any type of back support. It sounds like he will probably be a go as a kick returner as well.

No problem, figured you were fed some bad info.

I think DJ was "pressing" too hard in the OM game. I have a feeling, especially if PRO is on the sidelines, that DJ will have a monster game!

You have a great point here! That would be such a boost for our team to have him out there on the sidelines rooting them on! I hope he can make it out there (his health definitely comes first though).
